Located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan the 60 year old Emory Roth & Sons designed building at the southwest  corner of 47th St. & 5th Ave. has been transformed. Kohn Pederson Fox Architects worked closely with owner Axel Stawski to develop an architectural theme that included a complete re-cladding of the existing horizontal brick ‘ribbons’ and wedding cake setbacks, removal of limestone to create corner glass offices and an efficient aesthetically attractive retail/street  level. Facade Technology provided Polar White laminated glass panels, with custom aluminum extrusions and  sills, including a stainless steel nosing. The result is a stunning transformation of a very high profile building.
